The Ocala Police Department has reported a shooting in the parking lot of the Paddock Mall in Ocala, Florida around 5:30 P.M. 8/3/2021.
“There was a shooting in the Paddock Mall parking lot. Officers are on the scene investigating. Please avoid the area. More details will be provided as new information is available.”
The investigation is ongoing, please check back for more information at a later time. Stay safe and avoid the area! This is the second shooting in Ocala today.
Update: OPD received initial reports that there was an active shooter in the mall, however, it was an isolated shooting that took place in the parking lot of the mall. There were two victims, both have injuries that are not life-threatening. If anyone has any information on this shooting, please call Det.
